A complete multimedia experience bringing RZA's Bobby Digital universe to life through interactive web design, AR filters, anniversary vinyl packaging, and tour visualisers.
01 Project Overview
We created an immersive digital ecosystem that brings RZA's iconic Bobby Digital character to life across multiple platforms and projects. This collection of work spans four distinct elements: an interactive 3D microsite recreating the legendary Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theatre room, Instagram AR filters that transform users into the Bobby Digital artwork, premium 25th anniversary vinyl packaging with 3D glasses reveal effects, and animated visualisers for both music videos and stadium tours. Each component draws from the rich visual language of Wu-Tang mythology whilst pushing the boundaries of fan engagement. The result is a cohesive body of work that honours the legacy whilst introducing Bobby Digital to new audiences through cutting-edge digital experiences.
01 Interactive Microsite
We recreated the iconic room from Bobby Digital's "Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theatre" track as a fully navigable 3D environment. Users can explore the space and discover hidden content including RZA's music catalogue, YouTube videos, film projects, collectible action figures, and exclusive merchandise. The site captures the nostalgic essence of the original track whilst providing an intuitive hub for all things RZA. Interactive hotspots throughout the room reveal different content areas, creating an engaging treasure hunt experience that rewards exploration and deepens fan connection to the Bobby Digital universe.
02 Instagram AR Filters
Based on the distinctive Bobby Digital artwork, we developed dual AR filters that transform users into the iconic character. The filters apply the signature purple skin tone, add the Wu-Tang logo eye effect, layer on chains and jewellery, and complete the transformation with authentic grillz. Users can switch between different variations of the look, creating shareable content that spreads the Bobby Digital aesthetic across social media. The filters capture the rebellious spirit of the character whilst giving fans the chance to literally step into Bobby Digital's world.
03 Bobby Digital 25th Anniversary Vinyl Packaging
The special edition vinyl packaging uses red and blue 3D glasses to reveal hidden layers within the Bobby Digital artwork. Fans can see two distinct sides of RZA's personality depending on which lens they use. The package includes a stunning 3D popup artwork that we created by extending elements behind the original RZA image, allowing for a dramatic dimensional reveal when opened. The design celebrates both the technical innovation and artistic vision that defines the Bobby Digital era, creating a collector's item worthy of the 25th anniversary milestone.
04 Music Video Visualisers
We created a comprehensive suite of animated visualisers for "Bobby Digital and the Pit Full of Snakes," the soundtrack to RZA's graphic novel. Using artwork directly from the novel, we brought the visual narrative to life through dynamic animation that complements the music's intensity. These visualisers served dual purposes, enhancing the music videos whilst providing spectacular stage visuals for the "NY State of Mind" tour. The animations capture the dark, cinematic quality of the graphic novel whilst creating an immersive live experience that amplifies the power of RZA's performance.
